Qasim Husain, M.D.
Dr. Qasim Husain, a New Jersey native, completed his undergraduate and medical education in the accelerated 7-year BS/MD program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia and Cornell University, as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Subsequently, he pursued advanced fellowship training in Rhinology (Sinus and Skull Base Surgery) at Massachusetts Eye and Ear/ Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Husain has won numerous awards and honors. He graduated with the highest honors in medical school, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. During residency, Dr. Husain was awarded the Department’s Teaching award and the Distinguished House Staff award at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Husain is an expert in sinus and nasal disorders, with over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in addition to numerous presentations at national and international meetings. His primary research interests include improving quality of life in patients with chronic sinusitis.
Dr. Husain cares for all disorders if the Ears, Nose, and Throat, with extra specialization in both medical and surgical treatments of sinus and nasal conditions, including sinusitis, nasal obstruction, deviated nasal septum, enlarged turbinates, snoring, recurrent nose bleeds, nasal allergies, as well as nasal and skull base tumors.
