Why Your Voice is Hoarse
12/18/2019When you have abnormal voice changes, you are likely dealing with “hoarseness”. Hoarseness is characterized by a voice that sounds breathy, raspy, strained, or has a sudden change in pitch or volume. These voice alterations are connected to the vocal cords or vocal folds of the voice box (larynx). When we speak, the vocal cords are brought together as air exits the lungs to create the desired sound.
