With more than 25 years of experience in otolaryngology, Dr. Seth Silberman has spent much of his career caring for patients with both general ENT concerns and more complicated nasal and sinus conditions. Before returning to his home state of New Jersey, he practiced at Cleveland Clinic from 1994 to 2020. His work there included serving as a clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery and chairman of otolaryngology at a partnering community hospital.

Dr. Silberman was also an early adopter of minimally invasive, office-based balloon sinus surgery and has taught the technique to other physicians. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on endoscopic sinus surgery. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to listening carefully to patients and families, helping them understand their condition, and involving them in decisions about their care.

Education & Training

Dr. Silberman received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

His hospital affiliations include Southern Ocean Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and Bayshore Community Medical Center. After more than two decades at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Silberman returned to New Jersey to continue practicing comprehensive otolaryngology in his home state.

We are new to the practice. Very welcoming and very kind with my son who is a young adult with down syndrome. Made us both feel very comfortable. I actually made an appointment for myself

Dr. Seth McAfee at Coastal ENT changed my life for the better! I struggled with hearing issues in one of my ears for years! After he did the surgery with no pain afterwords whatsoever my hearing returned to how it used to be before i started having issues for nearly 8 years! This man is a gem of a doctor so if you ever need to see an ear doctor for any reason or if you need a surgery do not even hesitate if you are thinking of going with someone else! THANK YOU DR. MCAFEE!
