After he did the surgery with no pain afterwords whatsoever my hearing returned to how it used to be before i started having issues for nearly 8 years! This man is a gem of a doctor so if you ever need to see an ear doctor for any reason or if you need a surgery do not even hesitate if you are thinking of going with someone else! THANK YOU DR. "Just met with Dr. Sara Bresler for the 1st time who identified that my 5 year old son will need his tonsils and adenoids removed . I learned from Dr. Bresler how the enlarged tonsils and adenoids are effecting almost everything in his life negatively . She was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and kind . She was really good with my son in the appt and answered all my questions without any rush . Im very nervous for surgery but they have a pre-surgical appt separate from surgery date to go over everything . Christina - who scheduled our upcoming appts was patient and accommodating ! She could not have been nicer - and also very good with my son as we sat in her office for awhile. Happy I found Dr Bresler & Coastal ENT , I just wish I had brought him to see Dr Bresler sooner bc he really needs these things out sooner rather than later! "My mother is 81 and had a nosebleed so bad that it sent us to the hospital and eventually required admission and a blood transfusion! A PA from Coastal ENT came to the ER to pack her nose to help stop the bleeding. She was wonderful. She was gentle, kind and encouraging. Just what my mother needed.Three days later we went to the office and saw Dr. Bressler. First, the staff at the office were all so personable and kind. My mother was so scared to have that packing removed as she thought it would hurt and second, she thought it would bleed again.Dr. Bressler was so sweet, very encouraging and positive. She took her time and was as gentle as possible. Unfortunately the vessel was too far back to be cauterized but it didn’t bleed. Dr. Bressler took her time explaining why it couldn’t be cauterized, how to help prevent the vessel from bleeding again, what to do if it does and what to expect if it becomes a recurring problem. She answered every question with kindness and compassion and never made us feel rushed or unimportant. You can tell she truly loves her job and loves people.I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bressler and Coastal ENT! My oldest son may need an ENT soon. If so, I’m going to bring him to Dr. Bressler!"

Her assistants were professional, courteous, and explained the use of AI transcription in the office. This system allows the doctors to focus on their patients during examinations, as the notes are transcribed afterward, ensuring full concentration on the patients."

"I have been going to ear specialists since I was 5 years old ! That was 70 years ago ! Seventy years of so many doctors who have had to clean out the collection of ear wax and dead skin that builds up after several mastoid surgeries. It can be very painful. But since I have gone to Lydia Hawk, Physician Assistant at Coastal Ear Nose and Throat, I can honestly say she is the best ! Cleans out my ears with no pain whatsoever. She has a great personality, making each visit a calm, comfortable experience."

Not rushed, just straight to the point and asked if we had any questions (son has large tonsils so did a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea which results show he does NOT have so no surgery needed!). "Dr. Silberman is the best! He’s done a major nasal surgery on one of my daughters and a tonsillectomy on another. My daughter that had the tonsillectomy threw up (she got motion sickness in the car about 6 days post op) and ruptured a blood vessel when a scab came off and was bleeding really bad and I called the office en route to the ER and Dr. Silberman was at the hospital before we were even registered. She ended up needing an operation to stop the bleeding and I don’t know what his schedule was like that day but he never left my daughter until she was stable. He is not only good at what he does but his bedside manner is wonderful!! Caring, kind, and just a great human being. I highly recommend him and his office."

Constantly saying her ears hurt.Numerous doctors dismissed us even after ruptured ear drum, “her ear infections aren’t often enough”, “there’s fluid but let’s keep an eye on her” (sorry am I supposed to pull out my otoscope?). I even ended up at the emergency room in the middle of the night for an ear infection with my daughter in a CAT scan machine but it wasn’t enough for another ENT to recommend ear tubes.Thank you Dr. Engel for listening, caring and finally helping my girl. "I read through quite a few of the reviews before booking an appointment with Dr McAfee, yet I was surprised by my visit two weeks ago. From most of the reviews I expected to be seen by the type of physician who takes time to carefully listen, ask lots of questions about the patients history and symptoms, and explain the issues or/and the anatomy involved as well as how the treatment should resolve the issues.Most highly rated physicians I’ve gone to over the years in fields ranging from dermatology to podiatry are generally patient focused and exude care and concern for the individual.If you are looking for the above this may not be the doctor that is the right fit for you. Dr McAffee does seem to be competent, courteous, and professional and I have no doubt that he is an excellent surgeon, and based on the reviews I would be very comfortable having him as a surgeon, if not for the consult and follow up. My visit however , was for a diagnosis and medication, not surgery.Here are my observations:The office staff was pleasant to deal with and the appointment was pretty prompt.An assistant entered the exam room and took a few minutes to ask for details, and enter a basic history and description of the symptoms into the patient record.However, when Dr Mcafee entered the room, he very quickly asked what brought me in, and let me get only several words in before taking a super fast look, stating after a few seconds that he didn’t see any issue, and recommending an over the counter product. He then asked me rather tersely if there were any further questions. I started to tell him that the issue was ongoing for a couple of months on and off, and wanted to give a more detailed description of the issue, but he didn’t really give me the time, and reiterated to take the OTC product.When I asked what some other steps might be if the problem persists he said take the product and I can reach out then for other steps if it doesn’t work, walking out the door to his next appointment.The whole interaction was approximately 3 to maybe 4 minutes. I have no doubt that he is competent and intend to try his recommendation, but can’t shake the feeling that my primary care physician who suggested checking the issue out by an ENT was far more focused and attentive than the ENT, and actually had a more targeted range of options to suggest.If you want a competent experienced ENT who will give a 20 second look at the issue, give you a quick instruction, and send you on your way, this is your doctor. If you need a proficient surgeon, based on the reviews he certainly seems to be one.However, If you are looking for someone who will spend the time (and I’m not talking 15 minutes, just literally the extra couple minutes to make the patient feel comfortable) to listen to the issue, ask a few questions, and take a couple of minutes to explain the issue and diagnosis and perhaps the physiology involved, rather than running out to the next patient, this is not going to be a doctor you are comfortable with.For context I am a relatively young patient who is decently familiar with medical terminology and anatomy, and I’m able to research and familiarize myself with a medical issue including reading basic medical literature and abstracts, and have the ability to ask relevant, on target questions.I rarely make medical appointments but when I do I find most physicians pleasant, caring, likeable, and easy to converse with about the medical condition at hand. In this case I don’t think Dr McAfee was a good fit for me, though I’m sure he would be a good choice for others with different expectations."

He told me that it would require 3 separate operations but he couldn't garentee anything. I was just delighted that he was willing to try and restore my hearing. No one else would even make the attempt.After the first operation he told me that he had so much success with the first operation that he believed he would only need one more surgery. "My ENT had not been checked since 1990s. Dr Husain performed a focused exam, followed by a detailed diagnosis report.I have bilateral hearing loss foe decades. The hearing aids don't help much. I can hear the sound, but don't understand its meaning. Dr. Husain explained to me my cochlea can't transmit the sound to the brain. While the other doctors were pushing me for new hearing aids, Dr. Husain is the only doctor who solved the mystery of why hearing aids were of limited help to me. They fit him in the following week. The procedure latest five minutes. My son was home and happy an hour later. Within two months, his infections greatly decreased and his hearing test was now normal. He had pretty bad hearing loss before them. I went in knowing exactly what he needed. "I’ve had chronic sinus congestion for some time now. In recent years, it had been getting worse and about three years ago I decided to seek medical intervention. I could function during the day but could barely pass air through my nose at night. 4-5 hours of sleep was about all I could muster and that was taking its toll.I found a large ENT practice with an office in Shrewsbury and started there. More than two years and multiple visits later, including a $10k turbinate reduction surgery at Monmouth Medical, zero relief. It was as if I had never set foot in their office. I was angry that so much time and my insurance company’s money was wasted on ineffective treatments.I stumbled on Coastal ENT and started over with Dr Shargorodsky. He got right to the point with a CT scan to find out WHY I could breathe through my nose. Imagine that. The practice in Shrewsbury never even suggested such an investigatory step.I had septoplasty surgery a few weeks ago and while I’m still healing, I’m already experiencing dramatic improvements. I can breathe so much easier now and I’m actually getting eight hours of sleep every night! Anyone who has experienced chronic sleep deprivation can tell you that’s huge.My positive experience doesn’t stop with Dr Shargorodsky. Every member of the Coastal ENT staff was excellent, from the front desk people to the surgical coordinator, to the surgical team, they all impressed me as competent and professional every step of the way. That’s rare in my experience.If you have the need for an ENT provider, I strongly recommend Coastal ENT. My only regret is not finding them sooner."
