Seventy years of so many doctors who have had to clean out the collection of ear wax and dead skin that builds up after several mastoid surgeries. It can be very painful. But since I have gone to Lydia Hawk, Physician Assistant at Coastal Ear Nose and Throat, I can honestly say she is the best ! Cleans out my ears with no pain whatsoever. My husband had an appointment for almost 3 weeks and a few days before his appointment (his appointment is Monday, today is Thursday) they call to tell us our insurance is non par, meaning they do not accept our insurance. The lady on the phone had an attitude and said have a good one and hung up on me. No sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Read a few other reviews and it seems like they need to reevaluate the front desk, especially since they make the first impression"

"The check in procedure was done with a tablet and took less than 5 minutes. I had filled out the medical history questionnaire online so that speeded things up. I was ushered into the examining room within 10 minutes of my appointment time. Lydia Hawk was the medical professional assigned to me. Lydia was thorough, professional and quick. "My son and daughter had back to back apts scheduled for 5/22. A few days prior to the apt, I was called that they needed to be rescheduled. The receptionist told me that my son was scheduled for 930am on 6/16 and my daughter for 10am on 6/16. When I arrived this morning, the receptionist informed me that only my son was scheduled, and that "the doctor was double booked" and had nothing available today. I expressed my frustration that I had driven 40 minutes with all 3 of my kids and that two of them were supposed to be seen together. After no response from her I apologized and said "I'm sorry, I know this had nothing to do with you, I'm just frustrated." She still did not acknowledge my statement.I asked her to please switch the apt today to my daughter, which she did. She handed me a tablet to review the paperwork I did online and said, "Just so you know, your appointment is at 930, it's 930 now so you should fill this out as quickly as possible so that she has enough time with the doctor." I was really upset by this statement - moments prior she said the doctor was double booked, and now threatened that my daughter may not have her full appointment time with the doctor, insinuating that it was my fault. After I completed the paperwork as quickly as I could and handed back the tablet, she clicked through and commented that I did not click "non smoker" and "non drinker," and left those "unspecified." I told her that since they didn't apply to my daughter, a 2 year old, I just clicked through those sections (since time was apparently of the essence). Instead of understanding, she continued to click through and point out the areas I did not click off, sarcastically asking "Does she drink? Does she use smokeless tobacco?" Then, having been told to rush through the paperwork so that my daughter could have "enough time with the doctor," we waited for 30 minutes in the waiting room.Dr. Silberman was very pleasant. It is unfortunate that his front office staff do not match his demeanor. All the front desk worker had to say was "Sorry about that scheduling mix up" and I would have understood. We all make mistakes, but to be sarcastic and rude to someone - especially after I apologized - was not only unprofessional, but unacceptable."

"Noel Barbara Filkohazi Dr Silberman did my septoplasty surgery on Friday August 19th what was supposed to take 90 minutes took over 3 hours. I kept putting my surgery off for years and my sinuses was very infected.I was in a lot of pain on Friday I get my stents out tomorrow on Wednesday I do have to say I think I'm healing pretty well no complications and the doctor did a wonderful job .
