"This was my first experience visiting an ENT doctor, and I would say it was under an emergency circumstance because just the day before I found blood in my ear. My GP, Dr. Mihir Maniar, who has been treating me and my family for 20 years and who I trust implicitly, referred me to Coastal. I was so appreciative that they squeezed me in the very next day, and I met with Dr. Vishaal Patel. Of course, he saw and explained to me what the problem was, and answered all my questions, and I never felt rushed. He, and his physician assistant, Jessica, were extremely personable and friendly, as were the women at the front desk. All in all, a very good experience."

He tried several medications that just didn’t solve my issue & recommend this procedure after trying other alternatives- that alone builds my trust , and just didn’t want to rush to surgery. I’m set to have surgery on 6/10/25 and can’t wait"

"Most office staff and Dr Patel were great. Throat surgery went very well. However the surgical coordinator Kelly is not suited for the position. Impossible to contact or communicate with. Week before surgery (scheduled 3 months in advance) she gave us information regarding the anesthesiologist and Jersey Short Medical Center to call and find out about financial obligations. Every phone number was non-working and all info she provided was outdated. Finally contacted anesthesiologist on our own who stated all the info provided by Coastal's Surgical Coordinator was incorrect (they get these calls a lot). Constantly tried to follow-up with Kelly who continuously shifted responsibilities onto us. Refused to coordinate with our doctors (Primary, Pulmonologist and Cardiologist) to retrieve required medical clearances. Cannot emphasize enough was an utter hassle it was dealing with her. Surgery would not have occurred if we did not go above and beyond to get everything done. Although Dr Patel was outstanding i would go elsewhere solely due to surgical coordinator."

"Just had a procedure done at Jersey shore Hospital. In regards to getting the inspire device instead of using a CPAP machine. Dr. Patel is great inform you about everything he’s going to do and there was even a rep from the company inspire in the room during my, sleep study where he knocked me out for a few minutes to see what my tongue does when I’m sleeping and whether or not I be a candidate for the inspire. Dr is a great doctor. I would highly recommend him. ."

He performed a thorough examination and provided me with his findings and next steps in a concise and detailed manner.
