"Most office staff and Dr Patel were great. Throat surgery went very well. However the surgical coordinator Kelly is not suited for the position. Impossible to contact or communicate with. Week before surgery (scheduled 3 months in advance) she gave us information regarding the anesthesiologist and Jersey Short Medical Center to call and find out about financial obligations. Every phone number was non-working and all info she provided was outdated. Finally contacted anesthesiologist on our own who stated all the info provided by Coastal's Surgical Coordinator was incorrect (they get these calls a lot). Constantly tried to follow-up with Kelly who continuously shifted responsibilities onto us. Refused to coordinate with our doctors (Primary, Pulmonologist and Cardiologist) to retrieve required medical clearances. Cannot emphasize enough was an utter hassle it was dealing with her. Surgery would not have occurred if we did not go above and beyond to get everything done. Although Dr Patel was outstanding i would go elsewhere solely due to surgical coordinator."
"My first visit to see Dr Patel. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and checked in with an iPad. Def easier than paper. I was seen on time and Dr Patel listened to my concerns with sleep apnea and we discussed using inspire which I was hoping to get. Unfortunately he's so good at what he does I have to wait a bit for a final test. Other than that I would recommend this practice."
"Got an appointment quickly. I have exostosis in my ear so I had blockage in both ears for quite a while. Dr. Patel was gentle and took care of my cleaning and did a great job. I would highly recommend him. Thank you"
"Thank you Dr. Patel and staff! Not too long of a wait. Dr Patel explained everything to me like a doctor should and not like a boss to an employee. He answered my questions and most of all put me at ease about my condition. He has a great manner and explains thoroughly. Staff treats you like a person and not like an insurance card holder. "Dr. Patel was friendly, knowledgeable and very tuned in my concerns. However the overall running of the office leaves a lot to be desired. Inaccurate information given on the phone when making an appointment as well as a less than competent and efficient office staff. Significant training needed. That said I would definitely return to see Dr. Patel."
