"They deserve more than 5 stars! The entire staff was absolutely kind and attentive. My son had surgery on June 29th, and everything went very well. Dr. Victoria Bones was excellent and empathetic; she explained everything to both my son and me. It was a quick procedure, and his recovery is going great. The staff was the best—especially Della, who speaks Spanish and helped us when my son was coming out of anesthesia. God bless you; I have no words to express my gratitude. "I’ve had chronic sinus congestion for some time now. In recent years, it had been getting worse and about three years ago I decided to seek medical intervention. I could function during the day but could barely pass air through my nose at night. 4-5 hours of sleep was about all I could muster and that was taking its toll.I found a large ENT practice with an office in Shrewsbury and started there. More than two years and multiple visits later, including a $10k turbinate reduction surgery at Monmouth Medical, zero relief. It was as if I had never set foot in their office. I was angry that so much time and my insurance company’s money was wasted on ineffective treatments.I stumbled on Coastal ENT and started over with Dr Shargorodsky. He got right to the point with a CT scan to find out WHY I could breathe through my nose. Imagine that. The practice in Shrewsbury never even suggested such an investigatory step.I had septoplasty surgery a few weeks ago and while I’m still healing, I’m already experiencing dramatic improvements. I can breathe so much easier now and I’m actually getting eight hours of sleep every night! Anyone who has experienced chronic sleep deprivation can tell you that’s huge.My positive experience doesn’t stop with Dr Shargorodsky. Every member of the Coastal ENT staff was excellent, from the front desk people to the surgical coordinator, to the surgical team, they all impressed me as competent and professional every step of the way. That’s rare in my experience.If you have the need for an ENT provider, I strongly recommend Coastal ENT. My only regret is not finding them sooner."

"I was seen by Dr. McAfee for a follow-up visit after he put in a drain in my right ear to drain the fluid that had accumulated and so future fluid would not accumulate, so I can hear again in that ear. Because up until he put the drain in my ear I could not hear in that ear cause I was in & out of hospitals and nursing home subacute rehabs for 5-6 months to treat my stage 4 lung cancer and could not get to a ENT Doctor. So glad I finally got seen by Coastal Ear Nose And Throat, Dr. McAfee and highly recommended him."

"I suffered for 25 years with nasal congestion for years, and my life was miserable since I could not sleepI went to number of ENT Dr, with zero luck. That’s until I meet with Dr Shargorodsky. He immediately sent me for a ct scan and found something suspicious in my nasal passages and he prescribed me some antibiotics and within two weeks it completely cleared me.I have my life back and I only have Dr Shargorodsky to thankA big heart felt thank you Dr for letting me breathe again"

"GREAT doctors lovely office and great nurses and assistants. But the phone staff sucks dialed in EIGHT times and was disconnected eight times. Would love to change my appointment but it looks like I am being forced to go "no call no show" because they hang up on you when you call. And I won't be paying any fees for no show!"
"I went in early this am. They had a pretty simple program, to get registered. Waited 15-20minutes, saw someone who was very good. Asked me where the problem was and immédiate results from the test, I was treated, problem resolved and I would go back if needed. Too much earwax, and it is a pleasure to listen & hear clearly."

"I want to thank nurses Dana and Laura and my nurse who I cannot remember her name (she is 26 also and lives in north Jersey) for making me feel extremely comfortable. As an adult who received her first surgery as a tonsillectomy and I have extreme anxiety. They made me all feel so comfortable and at ease, Dr MacAfee and my anesthesiologist were beyond professional and I felt so safe in their care. "I love the entire office - been going to Dr Houston for literally 20 years. Never an issue - he is wonderful as was Dr. Mitskavich. Dr. Macafee is also fabulous and funny. I have had only two issues in 20 years, and they were not with Dr. Houston or Mitskavich. The one time I had Dr. Engel he rushed the visit, and Dr. Bucholtz DEF does not want to be there, or, he hates the elderly. Has no patience with my father EVER. Borders on rude. He needs to check himself and be nicer to old people. If he doesn't like his job, he should go elsewhere. I am going to take my Dad to one of the other doctors there in the future. I don't normally complain, but I've had it with that guy. Just not nice."

"For several years I have known that my hearing was very limited. The most difficult part of having hearing loss is the stress and strain it puts on the family. My wife and kids were always being asked to repeat themselves during conversation, which became frustrating not only for me, but for them as well. Then there is the professional aspect. Sitting in meetings or lectures became impossible. I would not get all the information, and when I was spoken to, most of the time I would not even realize I was being asked a question or asked for input. This brings up the embarrassing part. I have spent several years embarrassed that I was not able to hear especially because of my young age. I've learned to read lips without even realizing I was doing it. Many times in conversation I would laugh just because everyone else was laughing. I have learned to judge moods in conversation, such as watching the facial expressions of the person I'm speaking with for the right tone. Saying things like "Ahh I can't believe that", just because the speaker looked shocked.So what do you do? Well I knew I needed to have my ears checked and I went to the local Miracle-Ear and had them checked. The audiologist told me my hearing was really bad. Really? I did't know that!! So they came up with a program, hearing aids and for a lousy 5 grand you'll be able to hear. So ok I'll bite the bullet and do it. They came in, we did one or two adjustments and I was very uncomfortable. I returned to find out the audiologist no longer works there, so I had to have the aids adjusted by someone else. Then again, and again. Before long I was throwing the aids across the room, more frustrated then not hearing. I went back and told them the aids were not working and I wanted to get rid of them. I was told i could not. So I left the aids on the desk and walked out. After some financial mess, I was charged 500 per aid as a "restocking fee". I explained to my wife I'd rather not hear then to deal with that again.Fast forward a few years my hearing was worst then before and now it was a hazard to my job. Being in law enforcement I have to be able to hear. Again young age, so retirement is not that close. I thought maybe there is a medical reason for the loss and maybe there are professionals that deal with hearing loss, not just some "salesman". So I looked into Coastal Ear, Nose & Throat. What do I have to loose?This is were the review starts. Sorry for the rant. I met Courtney Cieri, Aud, CCC-A. Courtney took me into the familiar booth where I was going to spend the next several minutes raising my hand when I hear the beep. IF I hear the beep. But there was a difference. Courtney was tracking my hearing, or lack thereof. She charted and graphed and did whatever it is she does while sending beeps my way. After it was completed she said to me that she can see where my loss is, and what needs to be done with aids to rectify that. She didn't say my hearing was really bad. We both already where aware of that. She explained in detail everything I didn't know. She was compassionate to my feelings about my struggles with my hearing loss and assured me she could help. She explained all my options. I went against one of her recommendations and she understood my reasons for doing so. She further explained if I had to change up to what she recommended she could do so easily. Now she was selling me aids, don't get me wrong, but she was selling me more of a cure. She was assuring me what the end result would be like. And she was correct. Courtney Cieri is by far the best in her field. Whatever powers that made me try one more time was, I'm glad I did. I highly recommend this life changing experience for anyone with hearing loss. She certainly changed mine. Coastal is lucky to have such an asset."

"The signing tablets were cool. The Dr was great. The staff follow up was poor. To follow up on this post : I was told I needed a radiologist appt before a follow up visit. Coastal said they would make an appt for me. I followed up twice to see when the appt would be, no answer. I called Coastal a 3rd time and said I still did not hear about the necessary appointment and I would need to postpone my follow up at Coastal due to not seeing the radiologist. Sure enough, I get a $150 bill for missing the cancelled appointment. I liked the Doctor very much but I will continue to tell people I know to avoid their office."

I received additional testing at another drs office where I was diagnosed with something completely different. I was told to treat locally and referred back to a specialist at Coastal. I don't understand why it took another practice to diagnose and to refer to the expert in your own practice. It's been over a year of suffering and unfortunate that a practice I held in such high esteem has repeatedly failed me. "I guess they're good they move people through like nobody's business when I arrived there were 15 to 20 people in the waiting room and I was seen within 20 minutes and when I came out there was another 15 to 20 people all different. I spent $400 for a less than five minute exam. they are very efficient but to spend that kind of money to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes is kind of mind-boggling. If you have insurance you have nothing to worry about."

"Amazing results- I have ear problems almost all my life (I am 76), including several serious surgeries. When I began getting a bit dizzy on a daily basis, I was sure it was a byproduct of my lifelong ear problems. I was really a bit skeptical when my ear doctor (from Coastal Ear, Nose, and Throat), after I told her of my symptoms, suggested that I get therapy. I made an appointment with Dr. Janine DeBrito of Coastal Ear, Nose, and Throat for an evaluation and she suggested a series of sessions to work on thecauses of my dizziness. I honestly (at this point) had my doubts about therapy helping my problem.. Well, I was very wrong! I have just finished 10 sessions with Dr. DeBrito and my dizziness is virtually gone.She worked me through a series of exercises to improve my eye/head movements that caused my problem. I want to sincerely thank Dr. DeBrito for her caring and expert sessions; and also thank her receptionist Kelseyfor accommodating me in my appointment scheduling."

The office is immaculate, updated and the front desk staff in very friendly. They had a large waiting area and than a completely separate childrens waiting room that was spotless and had toys and books to entertain my little one. Our visit with Dr. Roche was perfect. His calming, soft toned nature immediately put my daughter at ease. His examination of her ears, nose and back of her throat was done with such gentle care.He diagnosed an ear infection and gave us some options for treatment. He did not force oral antibiotics at us (which are so over prescribed IMO) but rather gave us local ear drops to try first.We look forward to our follow-up visit in a couple of weeks!"
